Dervish 130 Best Weapon
hi there and thanks for reading,
i'm so frustrated on spending money on scythe mods it's crazy. most of the reason is i don't know what im doing. i enjoy this forum and as you prob see im in here reading alomst everyday. great job!!!
my question-
can someone plz give me an idea as to the best scythe for 130 solo farming? now to take it a bit further what i realy want to know is, if i take a rec 9 scythe with max damage what mods can i put on it? it seems the ones i want to add you can only add so much to it. what is essential to have on it? i'm trying to make one with 20% longer enhanchments, +5 energy, +15 damage while health is above 50%, armor penatration +20, leanthenes bleeding 33%. i do realize all of this can't be done (i think) as you can all tell i'm a noob at this so any help you can throw my way would be great, i will return it if i can.
thanks for your time everyone!!

Get the Suntouched Scythe for 5 insect carapaces from the collector named Tohsedi. You'll find him east of Nundu Bay in Marga Coast. Mod it with a Zealous snathe and a 20% enchanting grip, customize it and you have a perfect farming scythe for the solo dervish. Energy management, high damage and longer enchants all rolled into one. Who cares if its a blue? No one's going to see it anyway. Of course, this is IMHO. Happy farming.

forgive me sir but,
i'm a noob abd zealous means nothing to me. i also thought (was told) that +15 damage should be while health is above 50% and not while ench? is this so?
thaks again evertone who reads
if you were to build the perfect 130 scythe would it look like
gold rec 9 9-41 slashing
energy +5
ench 20% longer
damage 15/50 ???? anything else or are you even able to add this to a scythe
thanks

Two things.
One, quit calling yourself a noob, be the best.
Two, zealous is a mod that goes in place of your Energy +5 mod. It's something that makes your energy regeneration -1 (so if you have four regen, you'll have 3) and you gain one energy per enemy you hit. +Damage while enchant is better because you'll always be enchanted when farming.
You can only have three mods on any damage weapon (that's what I call them, bows, spears, scythes, swords, hamers, axes)
Edit:
Perfect scythe would look more like this
(any color, blue is cheapest and easiest to get)
req 9 9-41 dmg
Zealous
Enchant +20%
+15 dmg while enchanted

For 130 Dervish, I always run it with
5/-1 vampiric
+15% while enchanted
20% enchantments
Vampiric does 5 damage to enemies, and heals you for 5hp. So mostly every attack you'll be doing 15 more damage spread across 3 enemies and you'll be getting healed for 15 health, along with Mystic Vigor. Zealous isn't needed unless you're going against an enemy in Domain of Secrets, or an enemy with energy denial.
You'll always be under the effects of an enchantment, which is why +15% while enchanted is the best damage mod you can get.
20% enchantments is pretty self explanatory. It makes your enchantments last longer, which is good. It's also really the only good scythe grip to use in this build.

so, i think im getting all this now. just (i hope) 2 more questions.
1- when you go to buy this zealous, do ask "WTB zealous mod for scythe" if so what exactly (or is there only one kind) am i to buy?
2-when you say blue scythe, do you mean purlple or i just havnt ran into this yet?
3-would you all get a zealous or +5 energy? which would you get?
thanks again all

+5 Energy is an inherent mod or an inscription. You can't have that with a 15>50 or a 15% while Enchanted as they too are inherent mods or inscriptions.

There is no single perfect scythe for *any* build out there. True of a normal PvE/PvP build or a farming build.
There are three mods you can have - a prefix, a suffix, and a damage modifier. You scythe will be named: "<Prefix> scythe of <suffix>" and your damage mod is called an "inscription".
For the prefix - you have three main choices, I normally try and carry three.
First is a vampiric - it has a -1 health degeneration but steals 5 point of health per target hit (steal means that it adds the damage to you target and adds that amount to your health). This is, by far, the best damage prefix in the game as life stealing bypasses *everything* and while your health regen is up an extra -1 isn't even noticed and normally *more* than negated by the +5 health/target/swing of your scythe (in this case, that should be 15 health per swing). Just note that you *can* die from the -1 health degen so swap out once you are done fighting.
Second would be a zealous mod - exact same thing as above except it is with energy instead of health. If you are hitting two or more enemies you are breaking even or gaining energy with this. This one is OK to carry around always, though you may need to swap it to something else if you need to regen energy.
And lastly you have "other" - namely nothing, sundering, or an elemental. Forget sundering unless you just happen to find it and have nothing better to put in there - vampiric will give you MUCH more damage. An elemental mod will do more damage against some critters - namely ones like warriors who are strong against physical damage (though elemental mods do less against critters like rangers who have extra armor against elemental damage).
As for the inscription - +15% while enchanted is by far the best. First, you need that extra damage way more than you need the extra 5 energy. Secondly as a 130hp dervish you are *always* enchanted so you will *always* have the +15% damage. You will not always be above 50% health - the +15% damage while greater than 50% health is more of the best general mod, though since a Dervish is reliant on enchants I would still almost almost always use +15% while enchanted.
And lastly, we have the suffix. For a 130hp dervish the only one you want is the +20% to enchant mod - you live by your enchants and they longer they are up the better. You can somewhat live with a lesser +percentage if you have too (say, the +20% is beyond your funds and you have not found one), but you should really strive for all your 130hp scythes to have one.
For me I carry three, all of them +15% while enchanted. A Vampiric Scythe of Enchanting, a Zealous Scythe of Enchanting, and an Icy Scythe of Enchanting. For the most part I use the last one because I'm too lazy to switch out, however there are runs where I need to switch or an occasional enemy where I have too.

if you happened to pre-order Nightfall, You can just use the Soulbreaker.. It's not the best scythe for the job, but it gets the job done. Of course if you didn't pre-order it, then you want to make a scythe from scratch, and that's already been explained. I just wanted to say, you can save some serious money by using the Soulbreaker.

Cover your bets and go with a [wiki]Scythe of Corruption[/wiki] and a [wiki]Stygian Scythe[/wiki]. Neither the energy nor the health degen will bother you - i personally go with the Corruption to stay flooded with energy.
